I've included the short interview below, included in Metal Rendez-vous no.5:MR: When did this tour start?RG: Three weeks ago in Chicago, we supported Rush then. We headlined at the Country Club in Los Angeles.MR: You have a new album out, "Jinx". What are your feelings towards it?RG: It's the best album we've done in sometime.MR: Why do you still play your old Strat?RG: Well, it's the best sounding one I have ever played.MR: Do you think it fits your image?RG: Some people say it does, but I can play any guitar. I just happen to like this Strat.MR: What happened with Ted McKenna?RG: Ted went off to do his own thing with Greg Lake. Now he's with MSG.MR: How's Brendan working out?RG: Great!MR: What is behind the cover of "Jinx"? It's kind of different.RG: We tried to avoid doing burning axes, heavy metal sleeves. "Jinx" is supposed to be like old rhythm and blues sleeves from the '60's.MR: It looks sort of old fashioned…RG: Not old fashioned but like a Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames sleeves. There was a lot of Blues albums in the 60's, like Kenny Burrell. We wanted an easy going cover.MR: You used to be on Chrysalis records and now you"re on Mercury, why?RG: Well, our contract ended and it was a good time to change.MR: Who have been your major influences?RG: The usual people – Muddy Waters, Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly, Jean Vincent ….MR: And what kind of music do you listen to now?RG: A mixture of things…. Elvis Costello, some Folk music. Guitar-wise I like Michael Schenker and David Lindley.MR: In most of your songs you mention (sing) about American cities, why's that?RG: Well, European cities don't sound very funky, you can't sing about them… (We all breakout in a roar of laughter)MR: How is life on the road? Do you like it?RG: Yes, I do! It's hard, but….
